Webinar: water savings in haemodialysis

Mon, 23/11/2009 - 15:00 - 16:00
Webinar

The use of reverse osmosis to produce highly purified water for haemodialysis generates large volumes of ‘reject water’.

This high grade gray water is needlessly ‘lost to drain’ by most dialysis services. Yet simple and affordable methodology exists to save this water. Using a case study from an individual unit, this webinar facilitates a discussion of the topic, including the technical aspects, environmental benefits and the business case.

Contributors to the webinar will include:

  • Andy Connor, Green Nephrology Fellow for The Campaign for Greener Healthcare
  • Steve Milne, Renal Technical Manager at Kent & Canterbury Renal Unit
  • Andy Owen, Renal Technical Manager at St Lukes Renal Unit, Bradford
  • Gerry Boyle, Senior Renal Technologist at St George’s Renal Unit, London
